So I've got three reasons for Tassin to be stealing this dragon: 1) Her "boss" wants it and she really is just a thief 2) To keep her powers in check somehow either by blocking them or giving her greater control (I doubt it blocks her power because she says the dragon wasn't a big help, but it could be that she doesn't know how to use it or quite understand its powers. Of course, that leans towards giving her greater control versus inhibiting her). 3) You have to have an ancient relic of some sort in a good fantasy story, so why not a shiny dragon/lizard I'm, hoping this won't develop into some type of LOTR quest.
