Chapter 1 - Page 18
“You got oil on my cape. Now I shoot you.”
Apologies for the late update– Squid didn’t properly set the time of publishing for this page.

Just so we’re clear, artists missing a deadline involves a lot of whinging and then posting filler art or something on time, at least, that’s how we’ll handle it should it ever happen. This was honestly just me forgetting to change the publishing time to midnight today. It was set to update at some time tonight.

So it was four hours late. I was sleeping anyway.
By the way, the comic looks lovely on a 42-inch plasma HDTV.

Wow. This comic is picking up speed. You’ve been promoted from my ‘check-once-a-month’ comic folder to the weekly list.
Congrats!

The deadline discussion sounds straight out of an old Image comic;-) With that in mind, are you guys going to start issuing No Prizes?
The previous page has her holding her gun in her right hand before starting to slip and fall. I assumed she dropped it, but she obviously still held it since she fired it on this page. The thing is, in the last two panels of the previous page, her right hand is either empty or obscured. For it to work then she would have had to toss the gun to her left hand during the fall, catch herself, toss it back to her right hand, and then fire. If she’s that coordinated, she probably could have fired from her left hand, bringing her arm across her body. That would have been a faster option than the toss-and-shoot. At any rate, the easiest fix would be to go back to the last page and sneak her gun into her hand in the second to last panel (I think that’s the one). So that’s my No Prize submission, I want my autographed comic and assorted trinkets! Oh wait, this is all online. Darn.

Empty, huh?
Yeah, I suppose it would be easiest just to make a list of “Things to fix someday.”
Also, glad you like it LCV, and thanks.

Very nicely done paneling Riess, the poses in frames 1 and 3 are very dynamic and the smooth coloring on frame 2 is delicious.

Panel from previous page containing “NGH”, gun is in left hand.
Hand-off in last panel?
For some reason, this reminds me of a discussion about “Equilibrium”, regarding which guns Preston has when.
